Educational Qualification:
- Assistant Commissioner Social Welfare Group A
Possess a Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science or Law in at least 2nd class of statutory University.
Possess two years post graduate diploma or degree in Social Work or Social Welfare Administration of a recognised University or Institute or Second Class post graduate Diploma or degree in Social Workor Social Welfare Administration of a recognised University.
Provided further that preference may be given to candidates who –
Have Administrative experience in Social Welfare Department or who have experience in a responsible capacity in a field of Social Welfare or Backward Class Welfare or both or
Have made special contribution to social welfare including Backward Class welfare which can besubstantiated by evidence.
Notwithstanding anything contained in clause 8.1(1) above if at any state of selection, the Commission is of the opinion
that sufficient number of candidates possessing the requisite higher basic academic qualification are not available to fill up
the vacancies reserved for candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribes, Denotified Tribes or Nomadic Tribes, then the Commission may, in the matter of such selection, relax the requirement of the class of the degree set out therein,
and select suitable candidate belonging to such Caste or Tribes to fill up such vacancies.
- Social Welfare Officer Group B
Possess two years post graduate diploma or degree in Social Work or Social Welfare Administration of a recognised University or Institute or Second Class post graduate Diploma or degree in Social Work or Social Welfare Administration of a recognised University.
Provided further that preference may be given to candidates who –
Have Administrative experience in Social Welfare Department or who have experience in a responsible

- House Master Group B
Possess a Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science or Law in at least 2nd class of statutory University. And A degree in education of recognised university or an equivalent qualification.
Have not less than five years of teaching or administrative experience in an educational institution.
Provided that preference will be given to candidates possessing Master’s Degree in Arts, Science,
Commerce, Law or Agriculture and or practical training in Psychology or Methodology.
Candidates are to pay an online application fee of Rs 394 (unreserved) or Rs 294 (reserved category).
MPSC will shortlist candidates for a personal interview to select recruits. If there are too many applications, the Commission may conduct a screening test to shortlist candidates.
Phase 1: Written Exam (200 marks)
- The preliminary examination will be held in Online Screening mode and later the MPSC answer key is released
- The questions asked in the examination will be objective in nature.
- A total of two papers will be asked in the pre-examination, concerning subjects and general knowledge.
- The duration to complete each paper asked in the preliminary exam will be 1.5 hours.
- The marking scheme of the preliminary test is 2 marks for every examination.

Phase 2: Interview (50 marks)
The interview is the last stage of the MPSC Selection Process. Only those candidates who qualify for the preliminary exam with high marks are called for the interview round. As per the brochure, the interview is held for a total of 40 marks. The interview assesses the personality, communication skills and overall mentality of the candidate.
The interview will judge the candidate’s personality, oratory skills etc in this stage. The final MPSC Livestock Development Officer result list that is prepared by the MPSC is made by combining the marks of the interview and the written exam.
